Welcome to the Find-A-Practitioner page of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. We strive to provide accurate information to the general public concerning practitioners in hypnosis, hypnotherapy, and other mind/body disciplines. Although our primary focus is on the art and science of hypnotherapy, our intention is to include all integrative, complementary, and alternative healing modalities.
Establishing itself as an association which specializes in diverse holistic techniques, IACT’s membership include: Acupuncturists, Biofeedback Specialists, Clergy, Coaches, Educators, Hypnotists, Hypnotherapists, Kinesiologists, Life Skills Consultants, Massage Therapists, Medical Practitioners, Mental Health Therapists, NLP Practitioners, Nutritionists, Reflexologists, Reiki Practitioners, Stress Consultants, Substance Abuse Counselors and others in the helping, healing arts.
We also have members of the allopathic medicine and conventional psychology fields, who show interest in the above areas. These include: Administrators, Chiropractors, Counselors, Medical Doctors, Nurses, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Social Workers and Technicians.
To become a Certified member one must complete an IACT approved curriculum in hypnosis. 15 continuing education hours are needed each year to maintain certified status.
Professional members are required to submit documentation to substantiate their respective educational title or degree.
The association is an educational and professional organization whose members are dedicated to the enhancement of the worth, dignity, potential, and uniqueness of each individual and thus to the service of society. The IACT Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice Act bind members of the Association.
All IACT members are independent contractors and/or in private practice, setting their own rates and schedules. A listing on this website is voluntary and at the request of the member. IACT provides this directory solely for the convenience of the public and as a service to the members. The practitioners found listed by state or country represent a partial listing of IACT practitioners globally. New listings are added regularly. If you do not find a practitioner listed in your area, you may call or email our corporate office for additional information at 570-869-1021. Our office hours are Monday through Friday 9 am - 5 pm eastern standard time.
